Thakurgaon Correspondent:: Senuya Union has emerged as the 22nd union of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila. Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the information on Monday Noon.

He said the proposal to form Senua Union by dividing Bargaon Union No. 4 of Sadar Upazila was sent to the Local Government Division (Union Parishad-1 Branch) of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives. The ministry has approved Senuya in accordance with 1195 memorandums issued on November 5. So Senua emerged as the 22nd union of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila. He said Thakurgaon Deputy Commissioner KM Kamruzzaman Selim will officially declare soon Senua as the 22nd Union of Thakurgaon Sadar Upazila.

Meanwhile, the locals thanked the administration and the government for introducing Senua as a new union. They said local MP Ramesh Chandra Sen, district administration and upazila administration started the work of forming new unions thinking of the plight of the people of Barogao union divided by river.
